Description

Wear your wanderlust. A detailed Seattle Washington design made for travelers, collectors, and state pride.

Crisp detailed detail makes this a souvenir-quality design, finished with a clean merrowed edge. At 3 inches across, it makes a great statement piece.

  • Size: 3" (approx.)
  • Backing: Iron-on (heat seal). Can also be sewn on.
  • Material: Embroidered twill with merrowed edge
  • Use it on: jackets, vests, backpacks, hats, jeans

How to apply: Place the patch on clean, dry fabric and cover it with a thin pressing cloth. Press with a hot, dry iron for 30 to 45 seconds using firm, even pressure. Let it cool completely before handling. For gear that gets heavy use, stitch around the edge after ironing for a hold that lasts for years.

Care: Machine wash inside-out in cold water and hang dry to keep the embroidery bright. Skip bleach and high heat.

Will this patch stay on after washing?

Yes. The heat-seal backing bonds firmly to the fabric and holds up through regular machine washing. For best results, wash the garment inside-out in cold water and hang dry. If an edge ever lifts after years of wear, a quick re-press with the iron fixes it.

Can I sew it on instead of ironing?

Absolutely. Every iron-on patch can also be sewn on, and stitching around the merrowed edge gives the most permanent hold of all. Many customers iron first for positioning, then sew for keeps.

Is this an official souvenir patch?

It is a high-quality embroidered souvenir-style patch, perfect for travel jackets, backpacks, and memory quilts. Travelers collect them the same way they collect park and state patches.

Application Guidelines for Iron-On Patches:

  1. Before applying the patch, set your iron to the maximum heat setting (cotton) and allow it to heat up for approximately 3 minutes.
  2. Test your fabric's heat tolerance at this setting by doing a single pass with the iron on the garment to avoid any damage to the fabric.
  3. Place the patch on the desired location, then cover it with a cotton cloth or Teflon sheet.
  4. Using the heated iron, press down firmly on the patch, especially on the edges, and hold for 30 seconds.
  5. Turn the garment inside-out, then use the heated iron to apply pressure to the back of the patch for another 30 seconds.
  6. Remove the iron and let the patch cool for approximately 5 minutes.
  7. For an even more secure hold, it is recommended to sew around the edges of the patch after ironing.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that the patch will adhere to all types of fabric.

Patch Care:

Patches can be washed GENTLY when attached to a garment. When machine washing, it is advisable to turn the garment inside out, secure or close any zippers, hooks, or other items that may snag the patch threads during washing. We recommend washing on the gentle cycle with cold water and allowing it to air dry. It is important to note that ironed-on patches may have loosened adhesive after machine washing. Therefore, we highly recommend sewing the patch or the corners of the patch if you choose to iron it on.
